Great restaurant, came on a Tuesday night about an hour before close. Had the crab cakes appetizer (they were good, a little watery, but overall good), French dip sandwich with sweet potato fries, chicken and wild rice soup, and for dessert the lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Everything was good, will return when nearby. Our server Corey was the sole person tending to the 6 or 7 tables in the restaurant and he did a good job. He forgot our bread, and I screamed at him "we were promised bread!" And he smiled and brought us the bread. My girlfriend said it was good, I didn't have any because I was saving it all for her soup.

My wife and I and 4 others met for dinner at Marmalade in Sherman Oaks. The restaurant is clean, neat, and nicely decorated. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server was attentive but not obtrusive. I wasn't particularly hungry so I had the French onion soup. Marmalade uses gruyere and Swiss cheeses. Normally, I expect the cheese of French onion soup to be covering the surface and flowing over all around the soup tureen. This soup had enough cheese to cover the surface, but not enough to overflow the bowl, a disappointment. Also, I suggest that the chef add port wine cheddar to the cheese mix. That addition will make your French onion soup exquisitely delicious. Everyone enjoyed the dinner.

I had the goat cheese frittata and damn is that so freaking good! I don’t think I would have anything else from there for brunch/breakfast. My brunch mates had the Gelson’s and the lobster Benedict. They said they were both really tasty. And the carafe of mimosas was just enough for each of us to have two glasses a piece which for 33 isn’t bad!

I loved my two vegan soups here. The white bean with kale and kabocha and the split pea soup. So delicious! They gave breakfast menu until 3, which is good...

I really enjoyed my breakfast at Marmalade Cafe! Since covid, they have opened up their dining area into the parking lot under a large tent and equipped with tall, heaters. This is where we ate which was fine, however I definitely plan to go back to check out the inside which looks adorable! I ordered these delicious waffles with fruit, a mimosa, and a latte. Everything was delicious and I left full and happy! My breakfast date got eggs, toast, and a side of potatoes and was very happy with their dish. Staff was nice, food was great, and the prices were decent considering brunch in LA! I'd recommend!

I have been frequenting the Sherman Oaks Marmalade Cafe since 2007 and it has always had such a great menu and sense of upscale interior blending French country with the essence of home. A perfect meal here would be to order a steamed artichoke, a cold glass of Kim Crawford then order one of their hamburgers or enjoy a mega salad. When at breakfast this place is solid spot for mimosas and one the best breakfast burritos in town. Parking is easy and located in the back parking lot and even underground. The marmalade Cafe is a great spot year round restaurant and caters each and every season from Easter to Christmas to my favorite, Mother's Day! We were able to snag the back room for this too so call ahead earlier if this is what you want to do side we will already probably be there. The staff is fun and full of personality!
